Is a fear of self promotion holding you back from putting yourself out there on social media? Are you worried you don’t have anything to offer people? Is part of your fear that they won’t listen because of your success level?
I’ve got something important for you to hear…
Your degree, your background, your rank or commission check has nothing to do with your ability to add value to other people.
Let me teach you what makes you credible to teach others and share your advice.
#1 – The connection that you make with others.
If someone relates to your teaching style, they will like you! So naturally, they will want to hear what you have to say. No one teaches a topic like you do because no one has the same life experience as you do.
You have to learn not to water yourself down because you are worried they won’t be able to handle the “real you.” It is your willingness to be unapologetically yourself that will make you stand out.
#2 – The value that you provide to others with your content.
All that matters is that what someone learns from you creates a result for them. As soon as you give something to someone else that has value, you instantly become more valuable to them.
Here is how you start out… learn out loud! Share on social media the things that impact and inspire you.
#3 – CONSISTENCY.
This is where most people go wrong. You have to have the long game in mind. Most people only give on social media with the expectation of getting in return. When they don’t see the results right away they get discouraged and they quit.
You have to have a give first mentality! If you can add value to others consistently, it is impossible for this to not work in your favor. Every post you make doesn’t have to be life-changing. Just show up and be there for people. What really matters is that you are putting content in front of people that helps them.
If you are doing this just to make money, you will struggle to follow through. You are not going to win long term if you are inwardly focused. These are the people that get frustrated because they did videos for a week and no one bought their products or joined their business.
If you can change that and become outwardly focused and your mission is to add value to the lives of others, you willbe successful.
I have found this in my own life. The higher my intention is to serve, the better content I create and the more connected I stay to my audience. You’ll find over time that money is simply a reflection of the amount of value that you put into the marketplace. If you don’t like the result, you know how to increase it!
For me, when I stopped focusing on making a million dollars and I started focusing on positively impacting the lives of a million people, everything changed. My income went through the roof because my impact went through the roof.
You have to understand that there are way more people hurting and in need of help than there are people healing and serving. You have the power right now to change someone else’s life if you are willing to put yourself out there.
The key is having the courage to get over that fear and get started!
