In this episode we will be talking about the role of LinkedIn in your network marketing business. Whether you have never tried using LinkedIn for network marketing or you are looking to increase your LinkedIn prospecting skills, this episode will help guide you to optimize your results.

People are on LinkedIn to network and find business opportunities. If you are looking to reach higher quality recruits, LinkedIn is the perfect place to be prospecting. In order to optimize results, it’s important to be strategic.

One of the biggest mistakes I see with prospecting on LinkedIn is people setting up their profiles in a way that raises resistance with prospects. You need to assume that people already have a negative perception of network marketing, so you need to sell yourself and demonstrate value. People don’t want to join companies, they want to join other people.

LinkedIn has so many incredible features that we can utilize to help us find our target market with just a few clicks. You can do advanced searches for people based on industry, area, company, position, and more. This will help you find connections and common ground with people to start a conversation with them.

In your initial message, don’t “pitch them” or send a link to whatever you have. Start a conversation and reference WHY you connected with them. I cannot stress enough how important is is to lead with the opportunity and NOT the product.

After you start messaging with someone, get them off of LinkedIn and on the phone. The goal when prospecting on any social media platform is to get them off of social media ASAP. It may be uncomfortable for some people, but it is necessary if you want to make real connections.

Hopefully, you get a ton of value out of the training, feel free to share the episode with anyone that you think it could help!
