Sometimes it is easy to lose focus on customer acquisition when tapping into your own personal network.
Maybe you feel awkward about asking your family and friends to help support you in your business – this is totally normal feeling!
However, there are a few different strategies and mindsets that we can learn from traditional business owners in order to combat these uncomfortable feelings.
Today I’ll be discussing customer acquisition through a traditional business owner’s mindset. This mindset can help you dramatically increase your customer base. This episode highlights strategies to increase your effectiveness at reaching out to your own personal network.
Two Questions to think about:
When you think about the people in your life (your family and friends) how many are using your products and services?
Of the people not currently your customers, are they already using products or services that are similar to what you offer?
For many of us, our friends and family are already using products/services that are similar to the ones we are selling. But oftentimes, these products are inferior. Think about it this way: if friends and family are using inferior products, is that okay with you?
The truth is, not everyone is going to like the product or service – and that is OKAY.
Don’t go so far as to lose friendships and relationships over your business, but it is important to let people you know how important your business is to you.
